Ksenia Kortell

Hello, my name is Ksenia. I am the creator and director of the KORTELL House of Beauty salon. I want to share my story and passion for the art of hairdressing with you.

My journey in this profession started when I was just 16 years old and realized my love for cutting and coloring hair. However, I decided to try myself in other areas of business. Eventually, my true calling became evident, and at the age of 25, I began professionally pursuing the art of hairdressing. Since then, I have constantly been expanding my skills, undergoing training, and learning new techniques and haircuts.

I have worked in the best beauty salons in Riga, where I quickly built my loyal client base. I have always appreciated shapes and colors, and I have delved deeper into this direction. I have attended various events, competitions, and training sessions in Moscow and Europe to stay up to date with the latest trends and gain inspiration from the best masters.

At the age of 33, I moved to Ireland and discovered that the beauty industry here is not at the highest level. This inspired me to show that hairdressers can work differently. After 4 years of working in someone else's salon, I made the decision to start my own business. My husband supported me wholeheartedly, and I opened a small salon with two workstations. I quickly gained my loyal client base, and most of them trust only me with their hair. However, with such demand, my salon was not spacious enough, and I wanted to offer my clients a higher level of service.

As a perfectionist, it was difficult for me to find employees, but I realised that I needed to learn to delegate responsibility and trust others. The search for employees was not easy, but it led me to the creation of everyone's favorite KORTELL House of Beauty salon. I realized that every master is unique and has their own approach to clients, but the most important thing is that we all look in the same direction and constantly evolve.

I am also passionate about photography, especially portraits and beautiful images. Photography is an integral part of my work, as it allows me to capture hair in its best light and composition.

In our salon, the priority for each master is the health of the hair and a gentle approach to the client. We are always ready to provide in-depth consultations to find the best shape and colour that suits each client and helps maintain the hair's health.
